According to Federal Election Commission reports, Congressman Alan Grayson raised more money than any incumbent or challenger in the 2010 election cycle. Mr. Grayson, known for his bombastic style and caustic remarks became a darling of the progressive community and the online world.

“I’m sorry that Alan lost,” noted his national fundraiser Carl Silverberg. “He was a lot of fun to work with and Congress needs more people like him. His ability to raise money was directly related to the fact that people believed he was telling them the truth and would always shoot straight.”

Grayson lost his re-election bid to Republican Daniel Webster who now holds the Orlando seat, but speculation continues that depending on re-districting, the former Congressman may not be done with elective office.
