Our Work
Silverberg Associates offers three core services:
- Political fundraising
- Campaign strategy
- Domestic and international consulting
We don’t do everything but what we do, we do very well; this is borne out by the number of clients who have stayed with us over the years.
Several of our current clients have advanced over the years to reach senior levels in the US Congress; we also work with challengers at the federal and state level to develop and effect the fundraising strategy that they need to become competitive.
With offices in Washington, DC and Seattle, Washington we offer our clients the expertise and relationships that are critical to the success of campaigns and initiatives. For example, in the last Congressional cycle, Congressman Alan Grayson raised $5.6 million, the most of anyone running for Congress. More recently, Dr. Bobby Virk raised $107,400 in the month of April 2011 alone for his state house race.
Political Initiatives
We also represent people who do not live in Washington, DC but who are active politically and want to be sure that their political strategy makes sense - whether it's by contributing to campaigns or trying to impact policy. We work hard to be make they are maximizing the effectiveness of their money in achieving their goals.
Business Community
Corporations often need help with issues that are affected by decisions that a government makes, whether it is federal or state/local. We help them determine whether the problem is political or legislative and, if it’s legislative as well as political, we find the right person to work with to develop a solution.
"Boots on the Ground"
Being an international or domestic political consultant means knowing how critical it is to blend into a local campaign and how critical it is develop good working relationships with local people. Our primary job is to get a candidate elected, and we work with our clients to develop an overall campaign strategy, targeted message and coordinated communications plan. We conduct on-the-ground focus groups in every region of a country to get the best sense possible of how the voters feel about a variety of issues and to gauge the intensity of those feelings. In many cases we conduct regional seminars for parliamentarians and challengers to train candidates in media and communication techniques.
International
Our newest service is a spin-off of our international political consulting. Most companies find it difficult to navigate the maze they often face when trying to do business in another country. In most cases, success comes down to three areas:
- Are you being represented by the right person?
- Are you in touch with the real decision maker?
- Is your problem political? If so, have you formulated the correct strategy?
If you are being represented by someone who doesn’t know how to do the job it doesn’t matter who they know or who they’re related to. If the person you hired is talking to the official when the real decision maker is someone else, you won’t be successful. And if you supported the previous government, a campaign rival or your ties are to someone who is now out of favor, your contracts won’t go anywhere.
In all these cases, we help determine what your problem is and then we help determine how you can solve it.
